Safety Film To Your Glass
Rules 5 (1) and 5 (3) of the Motor Vehicles (Prohibition of Certain Types of Glass), Amendment 2000, stipulate that the front windscreen should permit not less than 70% light transmission, while the back windscreen and side windows should permit not less than 50% light transmission.
Special exemption for the installation of tinted glass.
The installation of tinted glass is allowed for certain persons only as specified under rules 11(a) and 11(b) of the Motor Vehicles (Prohibition of Certain Types of Glass) 1991. Any person not included in rules 11(a) and 11(b) who faces problem of exposed skin or security threat may apply for a special exemption.
The owner or driver who contravenes these rules shall be liable to:-
A fine not exceeding RM 500.00 or imprisonment for a term not exceeding 2 weeks for a first offence; and
A fine not exceeding RM1000.00 or imprisonment for a term not exceeding one month or both for a subsequent offence.
Methods of application
Application should be made using Special Form CG1, which can be obtained from the RTD Headquarters in Putrajaya. All applications should be accompanied by the following documents:-
Certified copy of identity card.
Letter of confirmation from a government medical officer as well as the latest medical records.
In case of applications for security purposes, attach supporting documents.
Approval
All applications will be considered and submitted to the Director-General of RTD. They will then be forwarded to the Minister of Transport for approval.
Period
The approval period for the use of tinted glass is one year only and has to be renewed.
Renewal
The renewal application should be made three (3) months before the expiry of the approval period by attaching the following documents:
Completed Form CG1.
Certified copy of identity card.
Letter of confirmation from a government medical officer as well as the latest medical records. Copy of the Minister of Transport’s approval letter.
Copy of the Vehicle Registration Card.
So the owner have to follow the rules when considering to tint up their glass. you can tint you glass but they should go along the rules specified Road Transport Department.

There are hybrid cars that can also use sources of renewable fuel, such as ethanol and biodiesel. These fuels combine traditional diesel or gasoline with biodiesel or ethanol, which are more environmentally friendly, and the result is a hybrid fuel. Hybrid cars emit half the amount of greenhouse pollution and up to 97 percent less toxic emissions than regular cars.
Hybrids run on combustion engines, which are internal, and they have batteries and an electric motor too. When the car slows down or comes to a stop, the energy created by the wheels is used for electricity generation. That electricity then gets stored in the batteries for future use. When the car requires more power, the stored energy provides it from the battery.
There are more benefits of hybrid cars than just environmental ones. For example, hybrid buyers get a federal tax deduction and get purchase incentives. Commutes could actually be faster with hybrid vehicles, because you could take advantage of HOV lanes in certain states. Hybrids weigh a lot less than regular vehicles, because the materials used in their manufacturing very lightweight due to their smaller engines. In addition, there is no need to change driving habits, because there is no difference in driving a hybrid than a regular vehicle.
Hybrid vehicles also have advantages over fully electric cars. For example, they do not have to be recharged, because hybrids can do that on their own. Another advantage of hybrids over electric cars is their versatility. Since traditional fuel or biofuel is used in hybrids along with electric power, they do not need special resources, which makes them more efficient. Honda Jazz Hybrid
Hybrid version of Honda’s much-loved Jazz will make its world debut at the Paris Motor Show bringing lower emissions and improved fuel economy to the practical supermini.
Inside, the cabin is also given a fresh look, with darker single colour dashboard, which contrasts strongly with the blue lighting of the dials and dashboard instruments. The new hybrid is also available with leather trim, the first time this has been available on a Jazz model in Europe.
Visually, this new, cleaner Jazz is distinguished from the current range by revised headlights with a blue surround, clear rear lights, new front grille, restyled bumpers and a chrome tailgate garnish. The new hybrid will also be available in a range of existing colours plus a bespoke Lime Green metallic.
